from Cambodia: advice for Khmer Americans

In 2009, I had the opportunity to travel to Cambodia and learn about the fate of Cambodian Americans who have been deported. This is a short message to all Khmer Americans, and especially to those who are at-risk of deportation and/or are living under "supervised release"

Message from Cambodia: Advice for Khmer Americans

In 2009, I had a great opportunity (thanks to the Initiative for Non Profit Excellence) to travel to Cambodia and learn about the fate of Cambodian American returnees. Here is a brief message from them - they are giving advice to Cambodian American youth and young adults still living in the U.S.A.

We Shall Not Be Moved!

"We Shall Not Be Moved"
Document's the birth of the movement - PrYSM. This shows the youth, the young adults, the founders, and our allies, working together to educate the community and challenge the system about unjust and inhumane deportation laws. The imperfect editing, with some shots taken while driving in an old honda civic; the raw passion in the speeches and spoken word; and the laughter and love; all these show a "ghetto-roots" (beyond grass-roots) approach to organizing, and a commitment to PrYSM's four core values: love, family, ghetto-roots, and movement.

When you sense the energy; when you see the impact of a truly unlikely coalition - between sisters, brothers, mothers, fathers, gang members, women, and gays and lesbians - you will know why we continue to do the work we do today.
