Solidarity Caravan

10 brave leaders. 5,200 miles. Representing PrYSM, ONA, DARE, and Deported Diaspora. The Solidarity Caravan took 10 people to show solidarity with the people of Arizona who are facing a racist bill (SB 1070), which requires police officers to racially profile anyone they suspect of not having legal immigration status.

This was our stop in Oklahoma, at the site of the Oklahoma City federal building, blown up in 1995 by Timothy McVeigh. Following the explosion, the U.S. passed four anti-immigrant laws: The Illegal Immigration Reform and Responsibility Act, the Anti-Terrorism and Affective Death Penalty Act, and the Individual Work and Responsibility Act.
